Welfare Rights and Financial Advice

Citizens Advice Bureau

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Appointments are also available at all doctors surgeries in Amber Valley for their patients. These should be made by the surgery reception.

The weblinks provides information on all services provided by the Citizens Advice Bureau  organisation and information on your local office.

Income Tax

HMRC or Her Majesty's Revenues and Customs is responsible for collecting the bulk of tax revenue, as well as paying Tax Credits and Child Benefits, and strengthening the UK's frontiers.

Welfare Rights

Sometimes the system does not make it easy for you to understand the rules about benefits or how to claim the benefits you can get.

The Welfare Benefits Information and Advice Team can help with advice and can take on any representation that you may need.

You can email welfarebenefits@derbyshire.gov.uk or phone them on 0845 1202985 between 11am and 4.30pm if you require any further information.
