Working in partnership, Aldercar & Langley Mill Parish
Council, Amber Valley Borough Council, ASDA and Groundwork Derby
& Derbyshire now have three attractive new gateway signs on the
entrances into the village.
At the top of Cromford Road, just off the A610 and Station Road
by the bus garage, two new signs, welcome people into Aldercar
& Langley Mill. On Anchor Road, two original lock gates have
been restored and installed with an identical sign to create an
artistic feature, which represents the nearby Langley Mill
ASDA kindly donated the funding, through a Section 106
agreement, to enable the project to go ahead and Groundwork Derby
& Derbyshire designed and installed the gateway features.
Wendy Burridge, from the Regeneration team at Amber Valley
Borough Council, said: "We are delighted to have been able to work
in partnership to deliver this valuable project and look forward to
delivering other projects in the area."
