No change in control. Elections results roundup.

The Conservatives maintain control of Amber Valley Borough Council despite losing four seats to Labour in the Local Elections on Thursday 3 May Local Elections. The Conservatives held six seats - narrowly retaining control. Labour gained six seats - taking two from the BNP and bringing their total on the night to 10 overall.

The makeup of the Council is now 24 Conservative, to 21 Labour councillors.
However, the turnouts were low with an overall average across the Borough of 33% of the electorate voting at polling stations and by postal vote. There were more than 24,000 votes cast for 53 candidates in 15 of the 23 wards throughout Amber Valley.
