Wanted – young entrepreneurs in Heanor!

Young people in Heanor are being given an excellent opportunity to launch a business, as part of the Carnegie UK Trust Test Town event – one of Britain’s biggest regeneration challenges.

Heanor Traders Association has been chosen, as one of only ten towns across the UK, to receive this opportunity to offer business support to young people aged 16 - 30 to launch their business, service or product and promote these in a supported manner, including a showcase event to spotlight their fledgling business.

The Heanor Test Town Entrepreneurial Challenge will see the Heanor Traders Association staging a Youth Enterprise Market event on 14 November to encourage a number of young people to trial their business and bring their product or service to market. The event will be backed by a range of business support, training and mentoring, to ensure that the young entrepreneurs are ready to launch their concept, and help them on their journey.

One lucky person will be offered complimentary business trading space within the Enterprise Emporium to test-trade and develop their fledgling business for a complete week.

The finalist from each town will then go forward to compete in a national final, with the winning business awarded the title of ‘UK Towns Entrepreneur of the Year’, and benefiting from a prize worth £10,000 of investment to support their business development.

Participants aged are
invited to apply for stalls up until 5 October by emailing heanortraders@gmail.com or
 phone 07948 421503.
