Calling all residents – will you Clean for the Queen?

Amber Valley Borough Council is celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday by taking part in ‘Clean for the Queen’ the country’s biggest ever clean-up.  Local authorities across the country along with local organisations and members of the public are coming together to tackle the issue of litter.

Here in Amber Valley we are very lucky to live in the heart of Derbyshire one of the most beautiful places in the country, and in honour of the Queens 90th birthday we would like to bring local communities together to help us clean our streets and make Amber Valley a place to be proud of and somewhere fit for the Queen.

Councillor David Wilson, Deputy Leader of the Council stated: “It gives me great pleasure to invite local residents to join us in this national campaign in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday, which is aimed at making our country and the local areas in which we live a more pleasant place to be. I’m also pleased to announce that the Council will be undertaking a clean-up of the A38 in March, as part of the Clean for the Queen campaign”.
