Duffield Walkers step out

Amber Valley’s Walking for Health scheme held a festive ‘Get Together Walk’ in Duffield, taking-in the lovely surrounding area of the Meadows and the river.

The walk was enjoyed by the Walking for Health volunteer walk leaders and local residents. Conditions were perfect – sunny and cold for the walk that started and finished at the Weston Centre in Duffield, who very kindly provided refreshments for the walkers.

A Duffield walk will become a regular feature for local people, starting on Tuesday January 9th 2018 from the Weston Centre at 9.45, and will run fortnightly. Included will be a beginners walk for approximately 30 minutes, and for those who want to continue, there will be a further 45 minute walk returning to the Centre for refreshments and a chat.

All of the Amber Valley walks are led by fully-trained volunteers are free of charge and open to anyone. Anyone interested is invited to the Weston Centre prior to the start of the walk where they will be welcomed by Walk leader Chris.
