Amber Valley businesses are being encouraged to make a bid for funds being made available by the Rural Payments Agency and Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, and a special event is being staged by Amber Valley Borough Council to provide more details.
A total of £3m is being made available through the RDPE Growth Programme to boost the rural economy, and the first sectors to be considered are Food Processing, Tourism Infrastructure and Business Development.
More details about the grants that are available can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rdpe-growth-programme
The Council is working with the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership to host the Amber Valley event to make funds more accessible, and would encourage businesses in the Borough to attend the local event at Belper Town Football Club on the 18th July, at 9.00am. Registrations are via the following link https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/d2n2-rural-means-business-conference-tickets-34878982977
Commenting on the initiative, Amber Valley Borough Councillor, Cllr Trevor Ainsworth the Regeneration Portfolio Holder commented: “We continually look for opportunities to support Amber Valley businesses, encouraging them to access initiatives which include funding like the RDPE Growth Programme to help businesses establish themselves and grow. We have worked with the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership to host this event in Amber Valley to make this opportunity more accessible and would encourage businesses in the Borough to come along and hear what’s on offer.”
