Health conscious Amber Valley residents attended a Wellbeing event at William Gregg VC Leisure Centre in Heanor, on Tuesday 21st March 2017.
A Free Body MOT was part of the day-long event organised by Amber Valley Borough Council’s Community Project Officer, Amanda Gowing. The event was for local residents to address any health issues and get advice and support from the many organisations taking part.
Friendly, personal advice and support was on offer to help people become more active and improve lifestyle and wellbeing, from Places for People, Citizens Advice, Hearing Help, Derbyshire Healthwatch, Core victim support services, Amber trust P3, Live life better Derbyshire, the Alzheimers society and Stroke association and many more.
Deputy Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Kevin Gillott was among those popping in for a Body MOT.
Amber Valley Borough Council offer these events regularly across the borough. They enable our local community to stay healthy, well and active.
