About 'Have Your Say'
'Have Your Say' gives you the opportunity to ask questions concerning your local area and to find out answers. 'Have Your Say' (formerly known as Local Community Forums) currently link to the Borough Council's Cabinet meetings and take place at various locations around the Borough.
The event offers two ways for you to raise questions:
One to Ones - at the start of the event you have the opportunity to informally approach the Cabinet Members and ask your question or raise your concerns individually. Your question or concerns can relate to any matter and are dealt with directly.
General Question and Answer Session - halfway through the event, a general question and answer session will take place. You can ask a question on any matter by completing one of the question sheets (to be made available at the start of the event) and handing it to the Chairman. The Chairman will then put your question 'to the floor' and an answer will be provided by the Cabinet Members, where possible.
You are also welcome to submit your questions in advance of the event by using the Council's online facility at http://www.communityforums.org.uk/ and completing the form in the bottom right hand corner of the home page, or by contacting Amber Valley Borough Council on 01773 841636 and giving details over the telephone.
