Amber Valley Borough Local Plan - The Draft Local Plan

Amber Valley Borough Council is preparing a new Local Plan, which will set out a vision and a framework for the future development of the Borough up to 2028 and will include policies and proposals to address needs and opportunities in relation to housing, the economy, community facilities and infrastructure, as well to safeguard the environment.

The Draft Local Plan is now out to public consultation for a 6 week period.

The Borough Council welcome your comments on the policies and proposals in the Draft Local Plan and on the accompanying Draft Sustainability Appraisal and Draft Infrastructure Delivery Plan.

Copies of these documents can be viewed below.

Hard copies of the documents are on deposit at a number of locations during normal opening hours. View locations.

A number of evidence documents have been used to inform the content of the Draft Local Plan, these can be viewed by click here.

A series of public consultation events in relation ot the Draft Local Plan will be taking place during the consultation period.

The dates and venues of the public consultation events are as follows:

Thursday 23 March 2017: 3pm-7pm
Somerlea Park Centre, Sherwood Street, Somercotes

Friday 24 March 2017: 2.30pm-6.30pm
Glebe Field Centre, Glebe Field Close, Crich

Monday 27 March 2017: 3pm-7pm
No.28 Market Place, Belper

Tuesday 28 March 2017: 3pm-7pm
Ripley Leisure Centre, Derby Road, Ripley

Thursday 30 March 2017: 4pm-8pm
John Flamstead Community School, Derby Road, Denby

Monday 3 April 2017: 3pm-7pm
Wilmot Street Centre, Heanor

Tuesday 4 April 2017: 3pm-7pm
The Diocesan Centre, Mornington Crescent, Mackworth Estate, Derby
