Procedures for dealing with planning petitions
Once the Council has received a petition it is acknowledged on our computer system.
We do not notify all of the petitioners. The head petitioner will receive a letter stating that the petition has been received and acknowledged.
If the Council need to notify neighbours and contributors of further information regarding the case only the head petitioner will be notified, unless individuals have written in separately to the petition.
Any petitions received are available to view at the Council Offices in Ripley. If you require a copy of the petition, then the names, addresses and signatures will be removed in accordance to with the Data Protection Act.
Further information on our Petitions Scheme can be found on our Petitions page.
