The Garden Waste Scheme
The garden waste scheme has been running for three years
and in that time has collected over 3,900 tonnes of garden
waste.
The garden waste scheme provided for the residents of Amber
Valley is an optional scheme with an annual cost of £40. Residents
that volunteer to participate in this trial scheme are provided
with an additional wheelie bin in which to store their garden
waste. Collections take place on a fortnightly basis throughout the
year except for December, January and February. Residents that do
not wish to participate do not incur any extra costs for their
garden waste to be collected.
The garden waste scheme is currently fully subscribed. However
if you are interested in joining the scheme please call the Refuse
and Recycling Hotline (01773 841326) to register on the 'waiting
list' until a place becomes available.
Use the MY
PROPERTY section of our site to see when your next
collection is due.
