If you are unable to take your large items of household waste to
Loscoe Household Waste and Recycling Centre, Amber Valley
Council can remove unwanted large items from your home.
What we will and will not collect
We collect a wide range of items, however if you wish to have
something removed that is not listed below, please contact us and
we can offer further advice.

Prices for the removal of large items of household waste
2012/13
Below is the list of prices for collecting your large, bulky
waste items for recycling / safe disposal.
- Bulky waste (3 items) - £16.50 (£8.25 if in receipt of a means
tested benefit)
- Bulky waste (6 items) - £26.50 (£13.25 if in receipt of means
tested benefit)
- Fridge/freezers - £15.50 per item (£7.75 if in receipt of a
means tested benefit)
- Electrical items - £15.50 per item (£7.75 if in receipt of a
means tested benefit)
Please note that no refunds will be given after payment has been
received.

Payment Methods
Payment can be made by cash, cheque or card at any Amber Valley
Cash Office. Alternatively if you are not in receipt of means
tested benefit, you may also make your payment by telephone.
If you are in receipt of a means tested benefit, then proof of
benefit will need to be taken to your local cash office .
The qualifying benefits are as follows:
- Pension credit
- Income based job seekers allowance
- Council tax benefit
- Housing benefit
- Working tax credit
- Income support

Skip Hire
Before any skip is placed on a public highway, the skip provider
must first apply to Derbyshire County Council for a permit.
