Thankyou for Macmillan Cancer Relief
02 October 2006
The Tourist Information at Ripley would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who got together for a cup of coffee and cake and helped raise a fantastic £370.28 on Friday 29th September 2006 as part of Macmillan Cancer Relief’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
In particular we would like to thank all those who donated cakes: The Hayes Conference Centre at Swanwick; Wilson Vale Catering of Hazelwood; The Cob Stop of Ripley; The Latte Lounge of Ripley; De Bradelei Mill Shop of Belper; Mrs Collington; Nina Mumford; Staff and customers.
‘It was a great day and everyone really enjoyed themselves. It is amazing that simply enjoying a cup of coffee with friends, customers and colleagues has helped raise lots of money for such a great cause.’
All money raised by coffee events like the Tourist Information Centre, Ripley makes a real difference to those living with cancer. Every cup drunk on Friday 29th September in aid of Macmillan has helped fund vital information and counselling centres, specialist Macmillan medical staff, buildings for cancer treatment and care, as well as grants for people with cancer who are in financial difficulty.
