Bogus Caller in Waingroves

People in Waingroves are being warned about a man who is posing as an employee of Amber Valley Borough Council.
Today (Friday 19 January), the man has been visiting homes and asking residents for their telephone numbers. When questioned, the man falsely claims that he is working for the Borough Council to arrange damp proofing courses for residents’ homes.
Anyone who wishes to check the identity of someone claiming to be a Borough Council employee should telephone 01773 570222.
