Perfect Information on Recycling

05 April 2007

Amber Valley Borough Council has been praised for the quality of the information that is about to be delivered to all homes in the Borough on waste minimisation and recycling.

The delivery of the information pack will mark the start of a twelve-month campaign aimed at promoting household recycling and increasing participation in recycling and waste minimisation initiatives within the Borough.

The praise came from the Government funded Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP), which is funding the campaign and was so impressed that it described the pack as “perfect”. It now intends to place the pack on a website as an example of good practice.

Julian Townsend, Director of Environmental Services, said, “I must congratulate the staff involved in producing such a high quality pack. I hope all residents will welcome the information we are providing and be inspired to recycle even more than they do now and reduce the amount of waste that is sent to landfill.”
