Exciting and Challenging times are ahead for the Amber Valley Partnership. Following a recent review of its role and responsibilities, and taking into account national and regional changes, agreement has been made to refresh the Amber Valley Community Strategy and to focus on priorities that are essential to revitalising the Borough.
The Amber Valley Partnership was formed over 12 years ago. It is a strategic partnership of public, private and voluntary organisations that consider joint actions to tackle issues, which will improve social, economic or physical developments in the Borough.
The Partnership is now looking to appoint a new independent Chair for its Board, to foster good co-ordinated working relationships between partner agencies and identify new partners to progress the Partnership’s Community Strategy.
Further information on this challenging but influential Volunteer Opportunity with the Amber Valley Partnership can be obtained from Lynn Allison, Chief Executive of Amber Valley CVS (01773 512076) or Keith Dawson, Head of Regeneration at Amber Valley Borough Council (01773 841586). It is hoped that the position will be filled by July of this year to enable the Partnership to progress its exciting plans further.
