Cinderhill Meeting Postponed to September
13 June 2007
The special meeting of the Planning Board to determine the Cinderhill planning application scheduled for the 2nd July has had to be postponed. Officers of the Council are still awaiting comments relating to transportation issues from the Highways Agency and Derbyshire County Council. As a result, officers are not in a position to prepare a recommendation. A revised date for the special meeting has been set as 17 September 2007.
Director of Borough Development Carl Whysall said “ This is the largest and most complex planning application received by the Council. It is critically important that all aspects are properly considered and that a fair and balanced recommendation is submitted to members before a decision is taken. The Council is still awaiting important comments relating to transportation issues. Until they are received, a recommendation cannot be prepared.”
The revised date of Monday 17 September is after the school holidays so that members of the public can address the Planning Board before a decision is taken. This will ensure that Members of the Planning Board listen to all sides and have as much information before them in coming to a decision. Further details of that meeting will be released nearer to the time but it is dependent upon full comments being received to enable a recommendation to be prepared.
