Notes for editors

To mark his retirement Mr Coleman decided to walk a route from Glossop in the north west of the county to Swadlincote in the south during August and September.

It has taken in virtually every single police station in the county and passed through the county’s main towns and city resulting in a distance of 159.75 miles.

The five charities the Chief Constable is raising money for are Derbyshire Association for the Blind, Umbrella, Derbyshire Community Foundation, Peak District Mountain Rescue Team and Sporting Futures.
