Amber Valley Borough Council and Business Link (East Midlands) are working together to provide two new free training sessions designed to help local would-be entrepreneurs get started in business!
Deciding to Start
This workshop is an introduction to all aspects of running your own business. The session will help you decide whether self employment is right for you and cover pitfalls and benefits of being your ‘own boss’. You can also find out more about legal and regulatory issues such as insurance, employment legislation, taxation, marketing, cash flow and profit projections.
The workshop will take place on 20 November 2007, 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Business Planning
This workshop is about business planning to help you set your goals and also looks at the information required to satisfy the criteria of lenders such as banks. This workshop will take you through the key items you should be detailing in your Business Plan and you will go away with a proforma to help develop your own.
The workshop takes place on 20 November 2007, 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
Both workshops will be held Amber Valley Borough Council’s offices, Town Hall, Ripley, Derbyshire DE5 3SZ
