Members of the public are invited to attend the next meeting of Amber Valley Borough Council’s Planning Board, when the planning application on the proposed development of the Cinderhill site near Denby will be considered.
The Planning Board meeting held on 25 September 2007 to consider the application for the development of the Cinderhill site for business, retail, residential and community use was adjourned to allow the applicant to prepare and submit more information relating to its Environmental Statement, specifically in respect of noise and air quality.
Following receipt of this information, the meeting has now been reconvened to take place on Monday 3 December 2007 at 6pm in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, Derbyshire.
The Environmental Statement is currently available on the Amber Valley Borough Council website www.ambervalley.gov.uk It can also be viewed at the Town Hall, Ripley during normal office hours. Members of the public have until 13 November to submit representations on this information. Representations must be submitted in writing to Robert Reid, Amber Valley Borough Council, PO Box 18, Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, Derbyshire DE5 3SZ.
Carl Whysall, Director of Borough Development at Amber Valley Borough Council said: “The purpose of this consultation is to give people the opportunity to view and comment on this further information relating to noise and air quality. All earlier representations made in relation to the planning application have been documented and will be taken into account.”
With public seating in the Council Chamber restricted to 50, members of the public wishing to attend the meeting on 3 December must register in advance, indicating if they wish to speak, by writing to Sue Hewkin, Amber Valley Borough Council, PO Box 15, Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, Derbyshire DE5 3XE or emailing sue.hewkin@ambervalley.gov.uk Applications must be received by no later than noon on Monday, 26 November 2007.

In addition to these 50 places, Denby, Holbrook and Kilburn Parish Councils, the Cinderhill Opposition Group, the Kilburn Area Preservation Group and the Derbyshire Ramblers’ Association, will be allocated an additional seat for an appointed spokesperson.
Amber Valley Borough Council will once again be giving people early sight of the agenda and Report to the Planning Board by publishing them on its website two weeks in advance of the meeting, rather than the usual five working days.
The agenda papers will be published on the Council’s website (www.ambervalley.gov.uk) on Monday, 19 November 2007. Paper copies will also be available on that date from Sue Hewkin at the above address.
