Are you involved with a voluntary or community organisation based in Amber Valley?
If so, why not come along to the Amber Valley Funding Event on 22 January 2008 between 3pm and 7pm at St Joseph’s Hall, Butterley Hill, Ripley.
Amber Valley Borough Council and Amber Valley CVS are hosting the event, which aims to give local voluntary groups advice and information on how to make the most of the many funding opportunities available.
Attendees will have the chance to meet national and local funders, including the Heritage Lottery Fund, Derbyshire Community Foundation, Lloyds TSB and many more! They will be on hand to provide expert advice and help groups find out more about the funding and grants they provide.
Wendy Burridge, Amber Valley Borough Council’s Funding Officer, is helping organise the event. She said: “We have a vibrant and active voluntary and community sector here in Amber Valley; however many groups may not be aware of all the different funding opportunities that are out there. We want to help them tap into these funds, which will then be used to improve the quality of life of people living in the Borough.”
For more information, or to book your 15 minute appointment with a funder, contact Wendy Burridge at Amber Valley Borough Council on 01773 841493 or Angela Quinn at Amber Valley CVS on 01773 512076.
