Developing social enterprises in Amber Valley

25 January 2008

If you’re involved in running a not for profit organisation in Amber Valley, why not come along to one of the free development sessions being held across the Borough?

Organised by Amber Valley Borough Council and Erewash Partnership, the ‘Developing Social Enterprise’ events are aimed at pre-start, new and existing social enterprises.

Jane Bexon, Enterprise Development Officer at Amber Valley Borough Council, said: “We’ve organised the programme of events to help people develop their social enterprise. At each of the events there will be opportunities to speak to advisers, chat with representatives from other social enterprises, share experiences and pick up ideas and contacts.”

The topics covered by the programme are:

  • ‘Introduction to Social Enterprise’ - 30 January at The Bridge Centre, Langley Mill
  • ‘Legal Structures’ – 14 February at Cotmanhay Enterprise Centre, Cotmanhay
  • ‘Marketing’ – 27 February at The Genesis Centre, Alfreton
  • ‘Managing People’ – 13 March at Cotmanhay Enterprise Centre, Cotmanhay
  • ‘Planning and Funding’ – 2 April at The Bridge Centre, Langley Mill

All events begin at 5.30pm. A light buffet and beverages will be provided.
