Play your part in the future of Alfreton Park
15 April 2008
Residents in Alfreton are being given the chance to have their say on the future of their local park.
Amber Valley Borough Council has recently been working in partnership with the Friends of Alfreton Park, and in consultation with Alfreton Town Council and the local community, to create a Master Plan for Alfreton Park.
Sharon Thomas, Landscape Development Manager at Amber Valley Borough Council said, “The Master Plan is an overall picture of what the community of Alfreton would like to see happen to the Park. Last summer Alfreton Town Council and the Friends of Alfreton Park distributed a questionnaire asking the public for their views. This feedback gave us the information required to create the draft Master Plan.
“We now wish to give members of the community an opportunity to give their feedback on the current proposals set out in the plan. You are invited to meet officers from Amber Valley Borough Council, members of the ‘Friends of Alfreton Park’ and your local Councillors to discuss the Plan and raise any issues you may have at a drop in session at Firs House, Firs Gardens, Alfreton on Wednesday 7 May between 7.00pm and 9.00pm.”
The Master Plan can be viewed in advance at the following locations:
·Monday 14 April to Wednesday 16 April 2008 at Alfreton Library
