Heanor Masterplan public exhibitions
30 May 2008
Amber Valley Borough Council has organised two public exhibitions inviting people living and working in Heanor to have their say on the Masterplan for the town centre and surrounding area.
The Council is currently producing the Masterplan, which will set out a clear vision for the regeneration of the town centre. Its aim will be to improve the long-term economic future of Heanor by outlining an agreed vision for regeneration and looking at ways to attract future investment into the town.
Councillor Stephen Hayes, Deputy Leader of Amber Valley Borough Council and Cabinet Member for Regeneration said: “People living and working in Heanor have a key role to play in the regeneration of their town. We wanted to provide opportunity for them to comment on and influence future proposals for how we improve the long-term future of the town. We now hope residents and representatives from local businesses and community groups will come along to one of our two sessions and share their views with us.”
The two public exhibitions will take place on Friday 6 June 2008 at St Lawrence Church, Market Street, Heanor between 10.00am and 8.00pm, and on Saturday 7 June 2008 in Heanor Market Place between 10.00am and 1.00pm.
Ends.
