THE RESULTS
Amber Valley Borough Council secured funding from Derbyshire County to deliver a Shop Local scheme as part of the Derbyshire wide Shop Near-buy campaign. Each of the four main towns - Alfreton, Belper, Heanor and Ripley had their own scheme.
The Shop Local Prize Draws have now taken place, the results are as follows:
Overall: 14871 entries, 132 shops took part
Belper: 3792 entries - 46 shops took part
1st Prize – Mrs Dorrie Lenton, Belper (Ticket from Ginger Jewellery & Gifts)
2nd Prize – Mrs M Wigley, Duffield (Ticket from Joy Clarke Soft Furnishings Ltd)
3rd Prize – Pam Hetherington, Kilburn (Ticket from Tomes)
Alfreton: 4450 entries - 35 shops took part
1st Prize – M. Jones, South Wingfield (Ticket from CV Sharpe – Alfreton Indoor Market)
2nd Prize – Donald Storr, Alfreton (Ticket from Martin’s Music – Alfreton Indoor Market)
3rd Prize – George McDonnell, Alfreton (Ticket from Dawes Butchers)
Ripley: 6029 entries - 38 Shops took part
1st Prize – Mrs Blundell, Allestree (Ticket from Clarkes)
2nd Prize – Mr P Foulds, Somercotes (Ticket from The Eye Gallery Ltd)
3rd Prize – Jennifer Hurst, Belper (Ticket from Hurst Chemist)
Heanor: 600 entries - 13 Shops took part
1st Prize – G. Bostock, Shipley (Ticket from Logic Electricals)
2nd Prize – Miss S Purvis, Heanor (Ticket from I Wear Opticians)
