Description of service

Welcome to Amber Valley Borough Councils funding advice and information home page

We hope that these pages will bring you up-to-date news and information about funding issues within Amber Valley. We have compiled some helpful hints and handy tips to help you apply for funding, information about potential funds from Amber Valley Borough Council, on-line resources and access to the services of the Funding Team.

Who we can help:

The Funding Team are here to provide funding advice to local voluntary and community groups, social enterprises and registered charities. We can help find funding for the day-to-day running costs of a group, new or on-going projects or even renovation/new building work. Some of the projects we have helped include: local sports clubs, carnivals and events, improving toilet facilities, scout and guide groups, play ground equipment, senior citizens groups and conservation projects.

How we can help:

There are a number of ways that we can help groups, clubs and individuals to secure funding, these are:

  • Carry out funding search, using the Grantfinder database
  • Send out a report detailing funding organisations that may be able to help
  • Visit groups to provide funding advice.
  • Sign post to other organisations that may be able to help.
  • Advice and support you through the application process.
  • Help and advise you to monitor and evaluate projects in accordance with the funder’s guidelines.
