What happens if my Rateable Value changes?
If your 1 April 2005 rateable value is amended by the Valuation Officer the Local Valuation List will be amended accordingly, and your rates bill will be recalculated. If your bill is subject to the transitional arrangements, you may find that a change in rateable value makes no difference to it until later financial years.
If your rateable value changes after 1 April 2005, for example because there has been a change to your property or the surrounding area, your bill will be altered from the date of the change.
