It is not a statutory requirement that you register a house name with the Local Authority, however we advise it is best to do so.
We recognise that sharing address information facilitates better services and provides a more efficient delivery service to the citizens and businesses of Amber Valley. Upon registration of a house name the Council notify internal departments such as Revenue, Electoral Registration and Waste Services and external organisations such as Royal Mail, Emergency Services, Land Registry, Gas, Electric and Severn Trent Water of the registration of house names.
