The Dog Warden Service helpline is open from 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday. On a Wednesday lines open at 10am due to staff training and development.
As from 6th April 2008 Police Stations will no longer accept a found dog.
If you find a dog between 8.30am - 4.30pm
Ring the Dog Warden Service Helpline on 01773 841335 to speak to a member of staff. You will be asked for the following information:-
- Your name, address and telephone number
- Description of the dog
- Any identification details ie. disc etc
- Where and when you found the dog
The Dog Warden will be contacted to collect the dog from you as soon as possible.
If you find a dog after 4.30pm
Ring the Dog Warden Service Helpline on 01773 841335.
You will be given the option to transfer to the Emergency Duty Officer who will advise you accordingly.
