Waste management

Description of service

Under the Environmental Protection Act (1990), the Council is a Waste Collection Authority. Our responsibility is to collect waste from households and as requested, from businesses.For more information of the different services we provide for dealing with household waste, please see further information.

Telephone01773 570222 - The Council's switchboard is open from 09:00 to 16:30 Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri and 10:00 to 16:30 Wed excluding bank holidays and certain other discretionary holidays.

TelephoneTown Centre Offices in Alfreton, Belper, Heanor and Ripley. The Council has offices in each of the 4 town centres that can be used to access a wide range of services.
