Description of service

This is also called the Household Waste Recycling Centre or locally, 'the tip'. These sites are managed by Derbyshire County Council. The only site in Amber Valley is at Taylor Lane, Loscoe but there is also a site managed by Derby City Council, at Raynesway in Derby. You are able to take materials for recycling in addition to normal household waste. Items include plastic bottles, electrical appliances, green garden waste, carpets and oil. Hardcore and soil is only accepted in bagged up quantities of not more than 50kg (2 sacks maximum). The site is open from 8:30am to 6pm 7 days a week apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
