Glass recycling

Description of service

For recycling centre banks and kerbside recycling collections, you can recycle the following types of glass. Please rinse these out and remove any lids, tops & corks.

Yes please:
All bottles and jars of any colour

No thanks:
Drinks glasses, Mirrors, Windowpanes of glass, Light bulbs, spectacle glass

Blue glass can go into green banks

White glass can go into clear banks


The glass collected in the kerbside service is used for road aggregate and the glass collected at recycling centres is made into new bottles and jars.
