Plastics recycling

Description of service

You are able to recycle plastic bottles at many of our local recycling sites. Unfortunately we cannot recycle all types of plastic at present, nor do we collect on the kerbside collection scheme. Please remove tops and wash and squash the bottles before putting them into the banks.

Yes Please (for example):
Drinks bottles
Washing up liquid bottles
Fabric softener bottles

No thanks:
All other types of plastic that isn't in the form of a bottle

The plastic bottles collected will be taken to a local reprocessor and recycled into items such as Fleece jackets, garden furniture or pipes.
