Amber Valley Borough Council is a Waste Collection Authority and is responsible for collecting household waste from residents homes. The service the Council provides includes a collection of recyclable material, refuse, large bulky items of waste and clinical waste. The Council also collects trade waste from businesses on request.
Derbyshire County Council is the Waste Disposal Authority and has responsibility to dispose of the household waste collected by Amber Valley Borough Council. Derbyshire County Council is also responsible for the local civic amenity site situated at Taylor Lane Loscoe. This site is open 8.30 am - 6.00pm apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day when the facility is closed.
