Description of service
In the event of most emergencies your first action should be to contact the emergency services Our service is complementary to, and does not replace that provided by the emergency services.
During normal office hours you should contact the relevant department. Outside normal office hours there may be some situations when it is appropriate to call the out of hours Amber Valley Emergency line .
Some examples of these may be: -
- When referred to the Council by the emergency services
- When sandbags are required to prevent localised flooding (paid service)
- You have found an abandoned hypodermic syringe
- Damage to play equipment which may render it unsafe to use
- When Council structures become unsafe
