Description of service

Amber Valley Borough Council is made up of 23 Wards, represented by 45 Ward Councillors. Your Councillor is the person elected every 4 years to represent your area. On this page, you can find the contact details of your Ward Councillor by clicking the link on the right to the 'Borough Councillor Lookup'.

You may contact your Councillor, for example, if you wish to raise any matter relating to a Council service. Your Councillor will advise or direct you to someone who can help sort out your problem and can sometimes progress the case on your behalf. This is sometimes done in advice surgeries where you can meet with the Councillor for your ward and discuss your problem.

As community leaders, Councillors can put forward proposals to improve their ward, which may include bringing together different community groups to develop a case for change.
