Best Value is about enabling councils to deliver continuous improvement in services and meet the needs and expectations of service users . The duty of continuous improvement for local authorities is set by the Local Government Act 1999.

Every year the Council has to produce a Corporate Performance Plan (also known as Best Value Performance Plan) which contains the overall vision, strategic objectives, priorities for the short, medium and long term. There is also a requirement to publish performance information. You can view the BVPP by clicking on the link under further information.
