Description of service

Operating an establisment for massage and special treatments is controlled under The Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.

The Council issues licences for establishments offering treatments include UV tanning, sauna, waxing, electrolysis, cosmetic piercing, acupuncture and tattooing. To carry out treatments without a current licence is illegal.
