Transport for disabled people

Community Transport schemes operate in many parts of Derbyshire to provide transport for voluntary organisations, and for people who are unable to use ordinary public transport.

You may also be eligible for a Blue Badge, issued by Derbyshire County Council, giving parking concessions for people with walking difficulties.

Gold Cards are a travel discount scheme for the over 60's and disabled people. You are able to pick up an application form or telephone for one from your local council office or ring Call Derbyshire.

On Wednesdays between 9.00am and 4.00pm the local Town Centre Offices in Amber Valley will Instant issue a Gold Card if the applicant has the correct documents to prove you are entitled to a card.
