Rented housing

Description of service

Within Amber Valley approximately 78% of households own their own home, 13% rent from a housing association and 7% rent from a private landlord (Census 2001).

If you are looking to rent a home from a private landlord the documents on this page should help you to choose a property that will suit your needs and be of an adequate standard.

If you live in rented accommodation that is in poor condition please make sure that your landlord is aware of the problem and give them a chance to carry out any repairs. If you have done this and there are still problems with your home please contact us and we will inspect the property and make sure that the landlord carries out any essential repairs.

Please see the related documents on the right of the page for further information.
