The East Midlands Landlord Accreditation Scheme (EMLAS) is the first regional accreditation scheme outside of London, to recognise the abilities of the landlord and not just the property standards.
Membership is free for 3 years if landlords or agents apply to join before April 2011. This includes any administration, property and Landlord Development Day training charges.
EMLAS works in partnership with local authorities to provide both landlords and tenants with up to date, relevant information and guidelines on all aspects of tenancy. Any landlord with residential property in the East Midlands is eligible to join EMLAS, and benefit from the rewards that the scheme provides, including a wide variety of discounts on goods and services that will be of real benefit.
