The Council transferred its housing stock to a new 'not for profit' housing association, Amber Valley Housing Ltd (AVHL), in 2003. This included the sheltered housing that the Council owned. All socially rented housing in Amber Valley is now available through the Home Options Choice Based Lettings Scheme. See the Home Options website for details.
