The Council participates in a joint firework display and bonfire registration scheme with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Trading Standards and the Police.
The scheme is designed to support organisers by allowing them to register their display which is then subject to a number of checks to ensure the displays have the basic requirements of a safe event.
Following successful registration organisers are then able to run approved events.
