The new state-of-the-art leisure centres are now open providing an extensive range of recreation and leisure facilities, designed for people of all abilities and ages.
The brand new centres at Ripley and Heanor include spacious reception areas, a four-court sports halls for activities including badminton and football, a high-tech gym housing over 50 pieces of equipment, a workout studio and new changing rooms.
Alfreton also has two glass-backed exhibition squash courts, a café serving a range of food and drinks, a six court sports hall, a sauna and an indoor bowls facility with a licensed bar.
Kinetika gym memberships include the option to take up the kinetika Journey, unlimited use of the Fitness gym, FREE access to fitness classes and FREE swimming. Anyone joining the gym is able to use the facilities at Alfreton, Ripley and William Gregg VC Leisure Centre at Heanor as part of the membership package.
The final programme of certification testing on the construction work has meant that the new 25 metre, six lane competition standard main pool and separate teaching pool at Alfreton Leisure Centre will now open in the New Year, to coincide with the opening of the brand new pools at both Ripley and the William Gregg VC Leisure Centres. To ensure people are not inconvenienced during the extended construction works, the existing pools at Ripley and Heanor will remain open for public and club use until the new pools open.
