Description of service

The Council has the power to make byelaws for good rule and government.

To date the Council has made byelaws in the following areas:

urinating in public
banning dogs from recreation grounds
parks
the control the consumption of alcohol in specified areas (these are technically designation orders rather than byelaws)

	Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley, DE5 3BT - You can visit the Council's main office which are open from 09:00 to 16:30 Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri and 10:00 to 16:30 Wed excluding bank holidays and certain other discretionary holidays. 	Town Centre Offices in Alfreton, Belper, Heanor and Ripley.	The Council has offices in each of the 4 town centres that can be used to access a wide range of services.
