From Tuesday 1 April 2008 anyone aged 60 or over and people with certain disabilities can travel free, off-peak, on local buses anywhere in the country – as long as they have the new double-sided national bus pass and Derbyshire Gold Card.

Your new Gold Card means that instead of getting free bus travel just within Derbyshire and on some journeys to or from neighbouring counties, all Gold cardholders can travel for nothing on local buses when they go on holiday or visit friends and relatives in other parts of the country.
Free travel applies after 9.30am up to 11pm weekdays and at any time weekends and on bank holidays.
Derbyshire Gold Card holders can also get half-fare train travel on local trains and free bus travel on community transport dial-a-bus services in Derbyshire and Derby City.
The new Gold Card can also be used as a library card to borrow at all Derbyshire and Derby City libraries.

b_line is a free half fare and discount card carried by 11-18 year olds in Derbyshire, issued by their schools and colleges it gives them cut-price travel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
