Residents parking

Description of service

The Council offers Borough residents a Residents' Car Parking Permit which entitles the permit holder to park free of charge in all Amber Valley car parks after 4:00pm and in Heanor ONLY before 10:00am.

Application Process

a) The Council sends out a Residents' Parking Permit Application in the Council Tax Demand. Complete this and take it into the Town Centre Office where a cashier will issue you a Residents' Parking Permit.

b) If you do not have this application form available or wish to obtain an additional permit you will need to visit one of the Council's Town Centre Offices where on production of proof of vehicle ownership
(logbook), proof of residency and payment as shown under Charges to the cashier who will issue a Residents' Parking Permit.

Conditions of Use

Remember to display the permit clearly and in a prominent position in the front windscreen of the vehicle. Failure to do so may result in an Excess Charge Notice being issued to your vehicle.

All other regulations as detailed on the car park signage must be observed.

Should you be unable to display the permit (ie. lost or damaged) a normal pay and display ticket must be purchased until a replacement permit is issued.

Should the details on your permit change (ie. change of vehicle) a replacement permit can be obtained from a Town Centre Office for a fee shown under Charges. Please remember to submit your old permit when requesting any changes.

Only one vehicle registration number is allowed on each permit.
