The Towards Work programme is a part of the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme jointed funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund operating across D2N2, which has three strands:
The BBO programme is for people who are unemployed or economically inactive aged 16+ (or 15-18 years old if not in employment, education, or training).
The Towards Work programme aims to support those first vital steps towards gaining employment through a personalised service and support to overcome barriers an individual may face.
I want to get into work - This is a free service with locally dedicated teams to make accessing services easier for you.
Subject to eligibility, you will receive one to one personalised support to overcome barriers that are holding you back from employment and education. You can refer yourself for an initial chat through the following link www.towardswork.org.uk/get-into-work/
I want to employ staff - Towards Work programme delivers an ethical recruitment solution with no cost to an employer and is delivered by a partnership of local organisations who specialise in supporting people into work. As a non-mandatory service, participants choose to begin their journey Towards Work through bespoke, personalised, tailored and one-to-one support.
Participants are supported by Job Brokers who are committed to ensuring each individual is ready for the placement offered by an employer and will work with employers through a rigorous recruitment and selection process to ensure both participant and employer are matched. Find out more by visiting www.towardswork.org.uk/employers/ or by viewing the Towards Work newsletter.
I want to refer someone - Support with those first vital steps towards gaining employment through a personalised service and support to overcome barriers an individual may face.
