Funeral arrangements

Following updated government directives, the following people are authorised to attend a graveside funeral:

  • Mourners restricted to the immediate family of the deceased (up to a maximum of 10)
  • Minister or officiate for the ceremony/service
  • Funeral director

This applies to funerals, memorial services and gatherings at any cemetery within the local authority area.

This decision has not been taken lightly but is necessary for the safety, health and consideration of the local and wider community. It is essential to continue to follow this practice until further government advice is given.
